Whenever I have an upcoming flight, one of the first things that comes to mind is what lounges are available for me to visit at the airport before my flight. Airport lounges can improve your flying experience significantly, allowing you to relax, unwind, and eat so that you won’t be hungry and wondering when the flight attendant will come by with food every five minutes.
In my experience, Chase Sapphire Lounges are among the best airport lounges. The network is still new, with the first lounge opening in October 2022 at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG).
What Are Chase Sapphire Lounges
Chase Sapphire Lounges are Chase’s branded, premium airport lounges that are part of the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club network. These lounges are very stylish and luxurious, offering travelers beautiful interiors with thoughtfully curated spaces that reflect modern design as well as a taste of the local culture of the host city.

These lounges are among the best lounges I’ve ever been to, as it is simply eye-striking to just be inside a Sapphire lounge, and they come with some of the best amenities that airport lounges could offer.
It is best to come to a Sapphire lounge on an empty stomach because the food served there is delicious. On top of the food, you can swing by the bar in the lounge for a complimentary drink or cocktail made by the bartender.
On top of food, Sapphire lounges can come with a host of other amenities that travelers thoroughly enjoy, such as wellness areas, private showers, facial treatments, private rest pods, etc.
These additional amenities vary by location, but they are undoubtedly very premium amenities that make Chase Sapphire Lounges some of the best airport lounges there are. On top of that, you can’t complain when these amenities are complimentary with your lounge visit.
Chase Sapphire Lounge Locations
Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club is a relatively small network of airport lounges, as they can currently only be found in two countries across the world. However, they are expanding, and Chase has plans to expand their current network of lounges.
The lounge locations that are currently open to the public are:
- Hong Kong International Airport (HKG)
- Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
- John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
- LaGuardia Airport (LGA)
- Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)
- Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)
- San Diego International Airport (SAN)
Lounge locations that are currently under construction and are planning to open soon:
- Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
- Harry Reid International Airport (LAS)
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
With only seven airports that currently have open Sapphire lounge locations at the time of writing this article on June 26, 2025, it may be difficult for some travelers to visit a Sapphire lounge if one of the airports listed isn’t a personal hub.
However, it is highly likely that Chase will continue to expand their network of lounges, so don’t give up just yet—a Chase Sapphire lounge could be coming to your area soon!
How to Access Chase Sapphire Lounges
Chase Sapphire Lounges can be accessed in a variety of ways because eligibility isn’t defined as a singular, strict path.
First and foremost, you must have a boarding pass for a departing flight from the airport where you are located. You cannot enter airport lounges if you’re flying into the airport that has the lounge you’re trying to visit. Additionally, your boarding pass for the departing flight must be for a flight that is departing within 3 hours.
Along with your same-day boarding pass within 3 hours, you must have one of these Chase credit cards to access the lounge:
- Chase Sapphire Reserve®
- Sapphire Reserve for Business℠
- The Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card
Earn 200,000 bonus points after you spend $30,000 on purchases in your first 6 months from account opening and with more than $2,500 in annual value, there's no competition.
Primary cardmembers of these credit cards have access to Sapphire lounges, plus access to over 1,300 Priority Pass lounges with their complimentary Priority Pass™ Select membership.
Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business cardholders can bring up to two guests per visit to the Sapphire lounge for no additional charge, and each guest after that will cost $27 a person. Interestingly, Ritz-Carlton cardmembers may bring unlimited guests for no additional charge.
If you aren’t a holder of these three credit cards, and you have a non-trifecta Priority Pass™ Select membership (eg through a Capital One Venture X), you can get one complimentary access to any Sapphire lounge per calendar year.
After your first complimentary visit, you can pay $75 per visit to access a Sapphire lounge. Non-trifecta Priority Pass members cannot bring additional guests free of charge.
You can also just outright buy access to a Sapphire lounge for $100 a person per visit. But, that seems a bit expensive.
Authorized User Access
Even though cardholders of the trifecta of Chase cards mentioned earlier are eligible to access Sapphire lounges, not all three of the cards grant similar access and privileges to authorized users.
The Sapphire Reserve and Ritz-Carlton cards grant lounge access to authorized users, as well as complimentary Priority Pass™ Select membership. Sapphire Reserve charges $195 per authorized user, while the Ritz-Carlton card allows you to add authorized users at no additional charge.

These authorized users are granted the same guest privileges as primary cardholders, meaning that authorized users of the Sapphire Reserve can bring two guests at no additional charge, and Ritz-Carlton authorized users can bring unlimited guests for free.
However, the Sapphire Reserve for Business does not grant access to Sapphire Lounges for authorized users, nor are authorized users given Priority Pass memberships.
