If you’ve been looking to plan a trip to Europe, you could take advantage of Flying Blue’s monthly promotional fares. Flying Blue is Air France, KLM, and Transavia’s Loyalty Program, allowing you to use miles to book award flights to get to and from destinations in Europe.
Flying Blue releases promotional award tickets on the first day of every month, allowing you to book flights within Europe, as well as flights in and out of Europe for up to 25% off with your miles.
Flying Blue’s July promotional reward tickets are only available to be booked in July, and they are valid for any travel date until December 31, 2025.
You can book promotional reward tickets on Air France and KLM flights that start/end or connect via Paris or Amsterdam.
July Destinations
Flying Blue’s roster of promotional destinations for the month of July spans five continents, with the highest concentration of destinations being in North America and Europe, and the least amount of destinations in Africa and Asia.
Short-Haul & Medium-Haul Flights
Short-haul and medium-haul flights start at a price of 7,500 miles for Economy, discounted from the regular price of 10,000 miles by 25%. There are no promotional reward tickets available for Business Class on short-haul and medium-haul flights. These destinations are:
- Amsterdam (AMS) to London (LHR/LCY)
- Amsterdam (AMS) to Nice (NCE)
- Amsterdam (AMS) to Stockholm (ARN)
- Amsterdam (AMS) to Malaga (AGP)
- Paris (CDG) to Ljubljana (LJU)
- Paris (CDG/ORY) to Marseille (MRS)
- Paris (ORY) to Bastia (BIA)
- Paris (CDG) to Turin (TRN)
- Paris (CDG) to Prague (PRG)
- Paris (CDG) to Istanbul (IST)
All of these flights are intra-European, with just one non-European destination being on the list, which is Istanbul (but could be considered European as well).
Considering that it’s July, these promotional reward tickets will allow you to reach popular European summer destinations for a cheaper price. You could fly to Nice or Marseille and soak up the sun at a beach in the Côte d’Azur, or you could enjoy other beautiful maritime summer destinations such as the Balkans, Corsica, and Andalusia by flying to Ljubljana, Bastia, or Malaga.
Long-Haul Flights
Promotional reward tickets for long-haul flights are more flexible than short-haul and medium-haul flights. Long-haul promotional reward tickets are available for flights to/from Europe, and aren’t just limited to flights to/from Paris or Amsterdam.
Connecting flights from the destination within Europe through either Paris or Amsterdam are included in the promotional reward ticket. This means that you’ll be able to take advantage of the promotional reward tickets when flying to various European destinations, you’ll just most likely need to change flights in either Paris or Amsterdam.

How to Book Promotional Reward Tickets
Flying Blue’s promotional reward tickets are only available via online bookings.
To book a promotional reward ticket, log into your Flying Blue account via either the Air France website/app or the KLM website/app. Choose your designated origin and destination cities/airports, indicate that you want to book with miles, and see if you can find a flight priced at the promotional fare.
Since Flying Blue’s promotional reward tickets can only be booked online, this means that if you call Flying Blue to have an agent assist you with booking your flights, they won’t have the promotional fare available to book at the discounted price.
This presents some challenges. For example, when using your miles to book flights on Flying Blue, you can include a free stopover of 24 hours or more during a connection between two flights in either Paris or Amsterdam. You would only need to pay for the fare to your final destination, instead of paying separately for a flight from Paris or Amsterdam to your next destination.
I’ve used the complimentary stopover feature before, and I was able to book a complimentary stopover in Paris for 5 days on my itinerary from Boston to Zurich. However, the caveat is that you can only book a complimentary stopover by contacting a Flying Blue agent via phone.
Therefore, if you want to book an itinerary with a complimentary stopover, you won’t have access to promotional reward tickets.
Final Remarks
Flying Blue’s July 2025 promotional fares offer an excellent opportunity to book discounted award travel across Europe and beyond. Whether you're planning a summer getaway to the Côte d’Azur, exploring hidden gems like Bastia or Ljubljana, or flying long-haul to destinations like Toronto, Portland, or Aruba, these limited-time offers can help you save thousands of miles.
Remember, these discounted tickets must be booked online and within the month of July 2025. Travel is valid through December 31, 2025, giving you flexibility to plan ahead. While you won’t be able to include free stopovers when using promotional fares, the mileage savings can still be substantial, especially for long-haul flights.
If you’re sitting on Flying Blue miles, this is the time to use them. Be sure to log in to your Flying Blue account and book early, as availability is limited and popular routes may sell out fast.
